This day started off for me at 4am, to be able to make a 7am flight to Toronto, to then drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake for Taryn + Eli’s wedding at Sue-Ann Staff Winery. To be truthful, I was a little bit worried that I’d be tired, having been up so early, but this day was so absolutely crazy and full of awesome, I don’t think I blinked all day. The Hora alone had me buzzing until I checked-in to my hotel room at 2am. I think if businesses were run anything like Jewish Weddings, nobody would ever dread going to work on Mondays.

Ok…it’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog with any new content. A long while. Things have been so busy that I haven’t had a lot of extra time, and client delivery is always a higher priority than my own website maintenance.  That’s a good thing, right? Things aren’t slowing down any time soon, but I’m going to try to carve-out some time to post more weddings.  I had a client meeting last night where the clients pointed out how there wasn’t much new in the year since they booked me, so that was a good kick in the behind for me to get to work.

Up first…Ashley & Ben’s Evermore Wedding!  This was last summer, on one of those RAINY RAINY RAINY days.  It absolutely poured all day.  Did that stop them from having an absolutely insanely great day?  NOPE.  It was awesome from start to finish…and the finish?  Well…you’ll see.  Let’s just say I had to open Photoshop to modify it because this is a family friendly blog!

I first met Tabitha & Chris when they were guests at a wedding I was shooting, where we were seated at the same table.  They shared their plans for a wedding in the Riviera Maya, a place I’ve visited annually for around 15 years.  When Tabitha contacted me a few months later to see if I was willing to join them on the beach for their wedding at the Royalton Riviera, I think I had my bag packed before hitting ‘send’ on the email.

Having shot a wedding with many of the same guests, I knew it was not going to be a sleepy affair.  These people know how to party!  The wedding day was absolutely perfect, aside from a brief sprinkle in the afternoon, and I can safely say that everyone had an absolute blast (myself included).  It was great to spend time getting to know Tabitha + Chris’ families and friends (I don’t normally spend 5 days with wedding clients), they are massively warm people, who made me feel part of the group, inviting me along for dinners/drinks and fun.

Congratulations Tab & Chris – thanks for having me along for your adventure!
