Cuban afternoon

I really like this picture of a local boy in Guadalavaca, who came to the beach with his 2 brothers.  I only had the D50 with fixed 50mm f1.8 lens (cheap gear in case I got mugged…lol), so had to do a tight crop of a 6mp shot.  It’ll never hang in a gallery, but I really like it.

Taxi anyone?

No roof, no seatbelts, no airbags.  I think the driver may also be drunk.  For only $12 to Guadelavaca, who can say no?

SHOE BEER!!!

Wanna Ride?

These scooters were available to rent at our resort in Cuba.  I had some romantic thoughts about renting a couple of them and going for a nice ride to explore the coastline of Cuba……until I saw the roads.   And the other drivers.

Anyway – they made for a really nice colourful picture!

Casual

I like the way this picture turned out as well.  I like how the lines from the pattern on the roof, the green posts and the tiled floor all draw your eye to the subjects.  It’s also nice to not have a ‘beachy’ portrait, yet still see the ocean in the background.
