We must have hit 6 wineries on Saturday after a great morning of harvesting grapes at Sandbanks winery. These local wineries are very cool – a real family atmosphere. We definitely feel more strongly about supporting local producers as a result of this visit. Addie showed her support with her Visa card – I think we bought 15 bottles.
After sampling a bunch of local wines we went for a nap before heading to ‘Harvest’ for a great dinner. The chef/owner, Michael Potters was featured on Food Network’s ‘Opening Soon’ back when he was opening ‘Milford Bistro’ – a short drive away.
This morning we toured Huff Estates winery (where we are staying), and visiting local food producers for yummies to take home.
