I met with Stephanie and Yannick yesterday to finally have a chance to do their engagement shoot.  They asked to postpone a few times due to strange & changing weather, but when the weather gods finally cooperated, I think we definitely made the wait worthwhile.  It was a lot of fun around the National Art Gallery in Ottawa, and I can’t wait for their wedding at Marshes Golf Club in early July!

As owner of Juniper Kitchen and Wine bar, Pete and I have known each other for quite a while now.  Juniper hosted Ottawa’s amazing “Dueling Chefs” events in 2010 and 2011, where I got to hang out with Pete (read: staying out of his way) in the kitchen for about a dozen Mondays each year.  When he proposed to Alicia, I was thrilled that they asked me to photograph their wedding at Billings Estate Museum, followed by a reception at his own restaurant.  The day was gorgeous from start to finish, and everything went as planned.  It was a great time, with great weather, followed by, of course, great food.

Amber and Russ - Toronto Wedding Photographer Christian LeeI made my way down to Brantford, Ontario last weekend to check-out the site of Russ & Amber’s upcoming wedding at Russ’ family’s farm, and also do a set of engagement photos.  They had actually already done some engagement photos with Amber’s sister, Heather, who is a wedding photographer herself, but I always feel that it’s a great thing to do before the wedding – so that we can all get comfortable working together.  We had a great time on the gorgeous property, getting some cool shots on Russ’ tractor, by the creek (where the ceremony will be held), and in the dense woods across the street, where Russ proposed to Amber.

They were a ton of fun to work with, it was a great time, and I can’t wait for their wedding!
