I first met Tabitha & Chris when they were guests at a wedding I was shooting, where we were seated at the same table.  They shared their plans for a wedding in the Riviera Maya, a place I’ve visited annually for around 15 years.  When Tabitha contacted me a few months later to see if I was willing to join them on the beach for their wedding at the Royalton Riviera, I think I had my bag packed before hitting ‘send’ on the email.

Having shot a wedding with many of the same guests, I knew it was not going to be a sleepy affair.  These people know how to party!  The wedding day was absolutely perfect, aside from a brief sprinkle in the afternoon, and I can safely say that everyone had an absolute blast (myself included).  It was great to spend time getting to know Tabitha + Chris’ families and friends (I don’t normally spend 5 days with wedding clients), they are massively warm people, who made me feel part of the group, inviting me along for dinners/drinks and fun.

Congratulations Tab & Chris – thanks for having me along for your adventure!

Allison & Adamo were such massively fun people to work with. These stylish hairdressers (who own Hair by Adamo, BTW…check them out!), were such a blast – I was a bit caught off guard.  When you meet people who are so immaculately put-together, it’s easy to make an assumption that they may need to be transported in a sterilized bubble of some kind, but I couldn’t have been more wrong.  At their engagement session (which I hope to find time to post one day), they were the ones who had the idea to wade through a muddy swamp to get a photo.  On their wedding day, Allison had no problems trekking all over Evermore’s gorgeous rural property in her stunning dress.  I hope it was worth it – I think the photos turned out pretty awesome.  Oh, and Allison’s bouquet needs a special shout-out because I had to google it.  A King Protea – the National flower of South Africa.  I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Congratulations, Alison & Adamo, thanks so much for having me along!

A guy from Washington, DC marries a girl from Montreal and have a destination wedding at Mont Tremblant, while they live in New York City…but moved to Paris mid-way through the wedding planning.  So, why not have photographers from Ottawa and Nashville while we’re at it?  Whoa.  I can’t imagine how complex this incredible wedding must have been to plan, but if anyone could knock a complicated one like this out of the park, it’s Lynn Lee.  Everything was beautiful and perfectly executed, down to the last detail.  No, she isn’t related, but I may try to adopt her as my sister.

Isabelle & Ali’s wedding day really was just perfect.  Obviously, the setting at Hotel Quintessence is simply gorgeous, but then add great weather, an amazing group of friends who love to dance, loving families, a lot of cocktails & great food, and a killer DJ (Joel Lalonde)…and it’s magic stuff.  There were so many great moments throughout the day, it felt like it flew by.  I was also lucky enough to have my good friend Paul Rowland up from Nashville to shoot this wedding with me, and I hope between the two of us we did this awesome day justice.  It was also fantastic to work alongside other friends, Sylvain & Caroline from Reno Video.  They were so great to work with, I hope to do it again soon!

Congratulations, Isabelle + Ali…that was way too much fun!
