I had the pleasure to photograph Jennifer & Konstantin’s Cornwall wedding in early October, and it was quite the day. Their day started at the Ramada Hotel, at the foot of the Seaway Bridge, connecting Canada to the United States. Their ceremony was at the stunning St. Columban’s Church nearby, and the reception was back at the Ramada.
This is the first time that I’ve photographed a wedding reception at the Ramada, but I’m going to take a guess that Jen & Kosta’s wedding set a new capacity limit for that banquet room. They had so many friends and family members there to celebrate, that you could hardly walk in the room. I’m impressed that the staff did such an incredible job getting very delicious food out, without any issues.
Although the day was a bit chilly and windy for early October, Jen + Kosta still got to roll in the beautiful 1965 Thunderbird, and we did photos along the waterfront. What made the timing extra-special, is that we were able to get a photo with the iconic (old) Seaway Bridge in the background, as it’s in the middle of being dismantled. You can see in the very last photo that they are framed within a void, where a section of the bridge has already been removed.
As a Cornwallian (I don’t even know if that’s a term), Jen really wanted to incorporate the history of that bridge in their photos.
Congrats, Jen + Kosta! It was a lot of fun working with you, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
